Robinsons Land Corp. is planning to build a four-storey office space specifically for BPO operations in Davao City. The building is expected to be fully functional after its 18-month completion date target.

This is along the line of the company’s target of giving more job opportunities for the people of Davao City. They also aim to attract more investors and clients to the city.

“We have a plan to put up, right in the highway of J.P. Laurel, a four-storey office building, a BPO office building, as we are trying to bring more BPO jobs in Davao,” said RLC President Frederick D. Go in an interview with Business World Online following the launch of the first Go Hotels branch in Davao last week.

There will be a floor area of approximately 8,000 square meters. This is the second infrastructure especially dedicated to the BPO operations constructed by Robinsons Land Corp in Davao City. The first one was given the name “Robinsons Cybergate building” located at the same area as where the new building will be constructed.

More buildings to rise in Davao City

Robinsons Land Corp. president Frederick D. Go says that this is only just the beginning for their projects in Davao.

In the same interview with Business World Online, he added that the Gokongwei’s real estate firm aims “to build more projects in Davao,” but is finding it more challenging now to find “the right piece of land” given the surge in property developments for residential, commercial and office spaces.

“But definitely we’re set to build more things here in Davao City,” he said.

Also, Davao City is among the top cities with the highest demand for BPO in the Philippines.
