How to choose the best exercise for you

At every stage in our lives, we always need to exercise. As we grow older our body changes and the kind of exercise we need also varies. Sometimes jogging once a week doesn’t cut it. We need the right exercise for our specific goals and age. Below are some tips on how to choose the best one for you.

The key to making your exercise work for you is to check what you really want to focus on. For example, you want to loose weight, or gain muscles, or enhance your cardiovascular endurance, or increase your flexibility, or acquire more strength. There are specific exercises for that.

Goal: Weight Loss

This is the most common goal especially among call center agents. If you want to lose weight, one of the best exercises to participate in is Zumba. Zumba is high-intensity training which is perfect for losing and maintaining your weight.

Other exercises should include a good combination of cardiovascular and weigh training since this tends to burn calories more.

Goal: Build or Tone Muscle

Exercises for building muscle mass are quite different for weight loss. In gaining muscles, you should opt for exercises that involve constant repetitions so that your muscles are conditioned to grow.

A good example of such exercise is CrossFit. This is a high intensity training that can improve not only your muscular strength but your overall health as well. Take note that this is not for beginners.

Goal: Overall Health

Sometimes we just want to exercise for our overall health and to de-stress a little. A perfect workout is Yoga. Not only do you sweat out in Yoga, you also get to meditate and relax. Yoga is perfect for those who want to unwind after a long hard day. There are numerous benefits Yoga can give you.

Exercising is not enough to achieve good health. It should always be a balance between what you eat, how much you exercise and rest. Again, always stick to your goal.
