BPO Industry assures reaching the $25 million target

In the Philippine setting, the BPO industry continues to flourish after 10 decades of serving its customers. In 2014, this sector registered $18.9 billion in total revenue and was forecasted to grow by 30 to 32 percent this year and at present, Philippines have eight cities in Tholon’s survey of 100 BPO destinations around the globe having Metro Manila placing on second.

The players of the Business Process Outsourcing in Davao region is confident that it will reach its total revenue of $25 Billion by the end of 2016. –

Samuel Manutog, the president of the information and communications technology Davao Inc. said that in Davao alone, their partners’ number is over 330,000 both from formal and informal sector. He defines this as an implication of a growing demand in the BPO sector every year.

It was also recorded that the BPO industry in Davao city started with 20,000 jobs last year and ended 2015 with 40 percent growth of 34,000 jobs.

Until now, the industry continues to rise and multimillion investments are being devoted to the developing cities of the Philippines.
